By facilitating personal reflection, connections within and beyond the Brown community, and exploration of many professional pathways, the Center helps students and recent graduates achieve their career ambitions. At Brown, the career exploration process consists of three primary activities:
Reflect
You will learn how to begin exploring career options and understand how your individual goals, interests, skills and values relate to career possibilities.
Connect
You will receive advice and insights on career pathways from experts through building mentoring relationships with Brown alumni, family, faculty, peers and others.
Explore
You will prototype career possibilities for yourself, building confidence, gaining experience, and developing professional skills both on and away from campus.
The Center also provides access to information, networks, and opportunities in specific professional pathways where you can engage in career exploration to better understand the array of career possibilities available to you.
During your time at Brown and beyond, you will reflect, connect, and explore often. The Center’s dedicated staff want to help you develop proficiency in each of these activities so you can proactively and confidently become the author of your own career journey.
