Center for Career Exploration

Interviewing

Employers use interviews to evaluate your experience, skills, personal characteristics, and potential to do the job. The interview provides you the opportunity to assess the organization and determine if it is a fit for your interests and goals. The key to a successful interview is research, preparation, and practice.

Interviewing Workshops & Mock Interviews

Interviewing workshops are offered throughout the year and can be found on our Events@Brown page. Schedule an appointment in Handshake with a Career Counselor for a 30-minute mock interview. In a rush? Drop-in to Peer Career Advisor Open Hours (for undergrads) and Graduate Career Fellows (for Graduate students) for a shorter mock interview.

The Brown Center for Career Exploration works to create engaging workshops and programs that support your professional growth and help you explore your skills, values and interests. These events also serve as a way for you to connect with employers, community partners and alumni.
If you’re not sure where to start, you might find meeting with another student as a great way to begin.
Meet with one of our highly trained Graduate Career Fellows during open hours to help you get oriented to all the resources of the Brown Center for Career Exploration.
